Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort

Literally had NO idea what WONDERS I was stepping into by booking a room here! It was like a magical dream! The resort architecture is crazy beautiful and the local restaurants and stores are fantastic. I booked the deluxe spa room and enjoyed the big spa at a great price. Check in was 2pm and very easy to find with the signs and the gentleman was lovely and charming, a perfect start. Loved the balcony views and the walking view to each room. Highly recommend going to the farmers market downstairs on the weekend for cheap fruit and veg, and the cinema is gorgeous too.

I travelled solo to this amazing destination for 3 nights and it was the highlight of many years! Unfortunately I came at the wrong time when most places were closed but I shall def be back for the weekend! The room I upgraded too was fit for a princess. Customer service was amazing, the location was within walking distance to local shops, cafe's and the beach. I felt I landed in Europe! The layout was stunning, the restaurants were gorgeous and there was so much to do! Highly recommend this destination to all who want to feel they are overseas but without the heavy price. Can't wait to be back!

Although I’ve loved staying at this resort for many Australia Day holidays I was recently disappointed due to the hotel’s air conditioning “upgrade”. New system renders the room uninhabitable when the temp is over 30 degrees outside -because you cannot manually adjust the temperature and the “full fan” is a mere whisper of air coming through the vent on the ceiling. I want to warn anyone coming here who is adverse to hot weather to rethink their stay. Otherwise the amenities are good, beds and pillows comfy, quirky atmosphere and lovely cleaning staff. Front desk did agree to move us to another room once we complained, unfortunately the second room was also not cool enough. Visiting many local places during our stay such as restaurants, pubs and cinemas - all had more than sufficient cooling. We could not sleep comfortably in our room both nights due to the heat. Unless this is fixed we won’t be back. I wish Ettalong management only the best as they have a large resort to manage and that can’t be easy but given that we were so hot and uncomfortable I needed to share this with others.
